My Naturalization was done around 8 - 9 months back and i never thought about details. Now i am about to make a trip to India so many questions popping up and i am really confused.
My family trip is coming in May end and i am not sure i have time to do what needs to be done before that.
1) I haven't rescind my Indian passport yet. I have US Passport.
2) My kids have PIO and i heard PIO is discontinued now. I believe i can register their PIO into OCI but, do I apply Dad Nationality as Indian or US? Mom is still Indian citizen.
3) I have multiple NRO and NRE savings accounts in Indian banks. What do i do with them. Do i have to report to banks or am i still considered an NRI?
4) I have NRE DEMAT accounts with shares held in my name. What do i do with them?
5) What does this taking US Naturalization will do to my properties (Apartments , Plots, Agricultural land etc). What do i have to do now?
6) I plan to buy more real estate when i go to India. How do i do that now?
I wish i understood the consequences before I took Naturalization but now everything look very confusing.
