Only Spouse naturalizing

Hello,

Our options to Naturalize will be open this January and my wife is thinking of not taking the Citizenship and let me Naturalize. The key is to only let one of us maintain Indian citizenship. Has any one done this before and is there a down side of doing this?

Any decision you make, would be something you both should decide on your own. It would mean that only one of you would be able as a USA citizen, be allowed certain privilages and obtain any benefits when the time arises.
On the other hand the other will need to renew their Card, every ten years and can risk losing immigration status, if they travel too frequently and remain out of the country for long periods of time.
But it's all up to you both, what ever decision you make. Good luck!!!
