  • Traveling between interview and oath ceremony

    Hi,

I had my interview and passed the tests. They didn't give me an approval at that point because they needed to verify my physical presence since I travel a lot for work. A few days later, the status online was updated to "An oath ceremony will be scheduled". This was about 2 weeks ago. Since the physical presence was an issue, I haven't traveled outside of the US as a precaution, but I will need to do so since it is an important part of my job. I know one of the questions in the form for the oath is related to traveling after the interview.

    1. If I select "yes", will that have any effect on my ability to take the oath? I spent more than 70% of my time in the US in the last five years, so traveling for a few days will not affect my physical presence requirement, but that was the case before the interview and they still had to "check".

    2. If I schedule an infopass, can I request to be put on the next ceremony?

    Thank you

Info pass would be your best shot, to avoid missing your Ceremony.
You going for a few days, in my opinion shouldn't affect your continuous residency. Though you would need to list on your letter and when ask. They may hold you for a few...., but once they realized it a few days, u should be ok. Conflagration & Good luck!!
