Hey, guys.
I am currently on my 1st greencard issued for 2 years thru marriage.
My first job contract have already expired and i'm looking for new opportunities.
Being an industry top-gun I have 3 exciting offers: one is in my motherland, the second is in one of the asian countries and the 3rd one (not so exciting) is here.
Both of the contracts are year-long.
But I'm supposed to file for my second/permanent greencard in mid-16.
I love my wife and the marriage is absolutely ok, but she is going to stay in the US. She doesn't speak my language (and there is also no english speaking business for her) and asian countries are tough for women to build career and it is also temporary for me anyway, so she is ok here with her own company.
As for me, the 1st offer is in my motherland, you know, parents-friends and so on and it is equal to local offer, but in my motherland the sum is supposed to be much more money, and the third one in Asia is a damn pile of money, it will take 3 years in the US to earn the same amount. I will be able to earn not only on a downpayment but on the whole house.
I'm wondering, is it ok for me to leave the US and will the GC be extended if i leave the country? Technically by the law I have to spend half a year in the US, but are there any exceptions for obvious reasons? Or can the lawyer help me to work this out?
What should i do to leave the country without being dropped from the GC?
