  • Filling out the N - 400 form without a selective service number

Hello, i am curious as to how i should go about this situation that i have. I have recently turned 18 and have registered for the selective service via FAFSA. I have registered fairly recently, maybe a week or two ago through mail. As i was filling out my Citizenship i noticed that in Part 11 Question 46 it asked for my selective service number and i am unsure as to how i should proceed. I tried looking up my selective service number on sss.org with no results. Can i answer it without the selective service number?

Don't submit your N-400 until you have proof of Selective Service Registration. USCIS is very serious about that requirement.

use this site to get your number. if it says not found you might have to wait until you get the card.

Thanks for all the help, i wasn't able to find my SSN on the SSS.gov website so i just sent out an application to them just in case.
