Hello all, Hope you are doing well w your immigration status.
I have a couple of concerns, time is of essence.
I am a permanent resident since 1999, now applying for citizenship.
My boyfriend is here on a B1/B2 visa, valid for 6 months, until later this fall..
We are planning on getting married.
I was told by attorney's paralegal that we cannot get married or/and file for adjustment of status, until I am a US citizen.
Is this correct?
What are our options?
We are concerned the naturalization will take longer, and he will have to go back.
Coming back into the country might be much tougher for him this time around...
