Hello all,
in the February of 2012 I came back to U.S. after almost 2 years out on Re-Entry permit. I was told that the earliest I can apply is March 2016 next year.
Since I returned in 2012 I took many international trips, all under 6 months, and by the March 2016 I shall be able to accrue 35 months of physical presence in the last 5 years. I have moved nearly 10 times during the least few years and I always tried to keep USCIS updated.
Now questions:
1) Is this a sound plan?
2) I did take few trips of 3-4 months each and during that time I didn't have a house in the U.S. because I wanted to save on a rent. It always worked out to be in between of my leases. In the meantime my mail was received by a friend living elsewhere or in a PO BOX. Could they claim that I had abandoned the residence? How likely?
Thank you for any feedback in advance!
