Hello everyone!!
My name is Dua Ali and I am currently living in US. I am in a situation right now where I need opinions/advises from my fellows here!!
So let me explain my scenario. I am living in USA for 2 years now and I have Permanent resident card (green card). I am eligible to become US citizen in five years out of which I have completed my 2 years. I am in a relationship with a guy who lives in Kenya and we are planning to settle down hopefully by next year. I have following concerns and I would really appreciate if yall can help me!!
1. Is it necessary to live in USA for 5 years physically to get US Citizenship?
2. I have heard that if you a green card and for any reason for eg. work, family etc you need to travel outside USA, you have to mark your entry in USA every 6 months or you can get a letter from your work for for 2 years that you cant manage to come and still retain your green card. How much true is that thing
3. any personal experience of fellows who have been to this situation and how you dealt with it will be very helpful
Hoping to get positive response from you all
