Hi,
I left the USA on Sept 1 to go back to my country helping friends who are starting a business (for free, so I don't have any paperwork that can show the reason why I'm out).
I was planning to return to the USA in January, so it would be less than 6 months out, however, they asked me to help till summer, so I'm considering coming back for some weeks to break the 6-months-at-most out of country limit for naturalization.
I think immigration officers have the right to deny naturalization for any reason, but is there a "safe" period of stay in the USA to make it less likely the two 6-months period not to be considered one?
