NYC: how long did your naturalization process take for you?

I live in Queens and I did by biometrics in Queens. I assume that my interview will be in NYC and not Long Island. Anyway, I applied in Sept 2015, and did my fingerprinting early OCt. 2015. A week later, it said my case is in line for an interview. I have not heard anything or seen any online changes since. It is now 2 months later and I still haven't received any notice to when my interview will be....

I looked online and it said it can take 5 months in NYC. How long did your process take? Also, can you travel with your green card in the meantime while waiting for citizenship?

Yes, you can. How long will you out of country? Travelling for longer duration is not advisable.
