Need clarification on Dual Citizenship

I am on a work permit(H1B) in US. My kid is US born. Is my kid eligible for dual citizenship or not ?

assuming you are referring to OCI

Just for the sake of clarity, OCI "IS NOT EQUAL TO" citizenship and
to the so the idea of dual citizenship is a misnomer..

If your child is born in US, he/she is eligible for US citizenship. If you choose US citizenship you cannot apply for Indian citizenship. India does not offer dual citizenship as of now.

If you are referring to - whether your kid is eligible for OCI ?? - Definitely, he/she is eligible for OCI....But please don't quote OCI as Dual citizenship..this misleads everything specifically when someone needs to answer your question.

India as of today DOES NOT ALLOW DUAL CITIZENSHIP. You need to understand that very very clearly..
