I am filling out the N-400 naturalization form and need help with my particular situation.
March 2008: Received Green card
Nov 2009 - June 2011: Out of the country for 1 year 7 months. Had re-entry permit.
June 2011 - Now: In and out of the country but NEVER for more than 6 months. It has been 4 years 7 months since I returned after my long absence.
Questions:
1. "Time outside the united states" in form N-400 it asks for last 5 years. When people apply after 4 years + 1 day do they only report about that portion do you still go back 5 years for calculation.
2. "Time outside the united states" in form N-400 it asks for last 5 years. It will include some portion of my long absence. Should I include that or do I only calculate the dates since I returned from my long absence.
3. If I include portion of the long absence do I enter the entire trip & dates in the table below?
Thanks
