has any naturalized parent received certificate of citizenship for kid with copy of kids US passport but without kids original green card if DoS keeps it while processing kids us passport? I heard that they do oath for kids as well and ask for original green card to be returned?

WHere did you hear it? I received a passport for my 17 yr kid.

I am wondering the same thing.
I have conflicting information - some say they got the green card back from DoS after they got their child's passport. Others say they never got the green card back.

My question is, if they do NOT give it back, are you still able to get the CoC from USCIS? Will they deny you the CoC because you no longer have the green card because it was kept when DoS processed the passport?
