H1B visa to Green Card

Hi! Does anyone here have the same experience as me, I went to the United States May 2009 with a work permit visa (h1b) then change d my status got my green card August 2013. Am I eligible to apply for naturalization now? I have heard some stories that they do count the years that you live in the US and not go by the green card's age. Thank you anyone who share their insights.

No you have to wait 5 years before you can apply for naturalization from the day you got your green card (assuming you don't leave the country for over 6 months)
