  • Do I benefit from the Child Citizenship Act ?

I was under 18 when the Child Citizenship Act was passed , already was a Lawful Permanent Resident because of my dad, with a U.S. Citizenship father, living in the United States under the guardianship of both of my parents, and have not leave the country for more than a month.
Here is a timeline just to be sure I make my self clear...

1996 - My father ( My legal guardian with my mom) became U.S. Citizen
1997 - I gained the Lawful Permanent Residency , at the age of 9 years old, through my dad.
1999 or 2000 - I came to live to the United States with both of my parents at the age of 11 ,and have not leave the country more than a month since then.

Thank you , hopefully someone could help me before I apply for the N-400 Naturalization process...

Well, you have beed an LPR for more than 5 years, you certainly qualify in terms of spending enough time in the United States. So it does certainly look like you can apply for citizenship.

Is your mother a U.S. citizen? You might already be a U.S. citizen if both your parents were U.S. citizen before you turned 16...
