I spent ~3.5 years on Green Card in US, and then moved to India to work for a US company to build offshore operations. I have been frequently visiting US (within 6 months) on business trips and maintaining the 6 months continuous residency requirements. I have completed 5 years on Green Card and have questions on Citizenship eligibility.
- There is 3 months residency requirement before filing N400. Do I have to be physically present in US state/district for those 3 months, or if I can travel within US or internationally during that time after I establish residence in US state/district?
- I am on the payroll of the Indian affiliate of the US Company. Will that be an issue?
