  • Greencard expiring before Citizenship Interview/Oath

My parents have applied for their citizenship but Greencard will expire before the Citizenship interview/oath, based on the timeline. A few questions:

    1. Is it okay to go to the interview with an expired Greencard? Will the interviewing officer raise any issues if he sees that the card has expired?
    2. Will it be legal to live in this country for a brief period of time with an expired GC, pending CZ interview? I say 'brief' hoping everything will go well at the interview.
