My citizenship interview is coming up in a week, I am at my last step of preperation, and would like to make sure that i have everything ready for the interview, here is the list of docs that i will be bringing with me to the interview, i am applying for citizenship based on 5 years of residency, no crminal record nor traffic tickets , no overdue tax owed either.
1: My interview Letter
2: My green card & SS card
3: my driver license
4:copy of my green card
5: my expired foreign passport ( I came to the US 10 year ago and have never traveled outside of the U.S. , so i didnt even bother to renew my foreign passport )
6: my tax returns & W-2 for the past 5 years , i also gathered the tax account transcrips from the IRS for the last 5 years just to be on the safe side, I always file & pay my tax timely since I started working and have income.
7: employment verifcation letter from my currecnt job
8: school grade report from the school that i attended in the U.S
9: 2 extra passport photos just in case
10: my marriage certificate ( although i am not applying the citizenship based on marriage )
11: copy of my husband's US citizenship certificate
12: Original approval letter from USCIS when my family applied for my green card 10 years ago.
13: my pay stubs from my current job
14: my band statment to proof my address.
15: a car lease agreement which has both my name & my husband's name.
above is the list of docs that i will be bringing with me, please advise if i am missing anything or anything else should be on this list too, appricate your time reading this , i will update the interview result when i am done. good luck to myself also to everyone here.
