Naturalisation Infos Please
Hi all
We received our GC in june 2012. I understand that we need to complete 5years for citizenship. I have a few questions. If anyone can answer them it wud be very helpful.
1. How early can we apply for citizenship 3 months before or 6months before 5years completion?
2. Can we travel either personally or officially outside US during the application process is taking place?
3. We got Visa through my spouse's employer. Is it possible that we can apply citizenship just for my kids an not us(the parents)?
4. How long does the citizenship process take and also the process of PIO card and/or OCI cards...our case is a perfectly clear case atleast from our perspective with all taxes in place and records clean.
5.Are the days we were outside country count for our 5 year stay. we went 1.5 months to india last summer. and a week on vacation outside country do those days have to be compensated?
I understand these are a lot of questions..but please share your thoughts and info that you have to help us plan our citizenship process. Thanks a lot in advance.
