  • Is that abnormal to wait almost 6 months after the interview

We have applied green card through marriage.

    1. 07 13, 2015 Submit all application (I-485, I-130, I-765)
    2. 09 23, 2015 Receive the EAD card
    3. 02 22, 2016 Interview in CT Hartford office

NO UPDATE at all after interview (It has been 6 months)

We have tried to call USCIS many times, visited the local office twice, but was told the case is on pending situation!
Vermont center has already passed the date of processing I-130 that we submitted.
    Is that so abnormal???

So far we have been waiting for more than a year to get this green card.

I had a student who applied in May 2015, and did his Biometrics in June 2015.
He heard nothing for months. We finally called in November, and they told him to call back in December.
We called back in December of 2015, and was told that they have his application and there is nothing wrong.
They said that they had been extremely busy.

January passed. Finally, he got his interview letter in February. He took the exam, and passed. His swearing in ceremony was in April, I think not sure.

Anyway, his scenario was the longest ever.
Just call them directly if you do not hear from them for 5-6 months.

    Good luck.

Thanks, we have not heard of anything since Feb 22nd of the interview. Although the officer said we might get green card in 2 weeks.

No it's not normal. It's very likely that your case has been stuck in an administrative sinkhole (missing paperwork, files put on the wrong shelf, etc). I highly recommend that you hire a lawyer and let him/her work on it.
