  • Earlier misdemeanor probation termination and applying citizenship

I need help with my question.

I had misdemeanor and informal probation (3 years) because I got into some stupid fight with guy that was touching my (now ex) gf. It was November 2014, nobody got hurt or anything, I just told him to leave her alone, he didn't listen, we started pushing each other. Well so they got me and this guy and gave me this misdemeanor.

I got early probation termination in May 2016 and right after that I applied for citizenship, got my fingerprints taken already and kinda waiting for another step, but my question is:

is that gonna be a problem while Im already NOT on probation? Im stressed because can't find answer anywhere and the lawyers I was calling told me that there was 50% chances to get approved while BEING ON probation and I should apply as soon as it ends, because it was nothing serious that I should be waiting 3 or 5 years to apply.

Can someone answer me and let me know what may happen, maybe someone with same case in past or now.

    NEED HELP PLS.

Have to say that I'm living in US for about 20 years now and never have been charged with anything or done anything worst than getting speeding ticketS (that are already paid off [as far as I know])
    I'm from Panama.
I sent the court papers from the time when they charged me and with the early probation termination GRANTED.

Worst case they will deny your citizenship application and tell you to reapply 5 years from when they terminated your probation. Good luck

My lawyer said there is 60 percent chance of getting approved because i have a similar situation like yours. I did my biometrics in april 29 and its been over 3 months and haven't heard anything after that. But i will keep updating you.
