waiting for oath ceremony letter

Received case status update on 8/2/2016 that I am in line for oath ceremony and should receive letter within 30 days of the mailing date. This is for Detroit. How do I find out when the mailing date is and will I get another case status update when the letter is actually mailed. How long does the scheduling normally take for Detroit? It has been almost 6 weeks now since the update.

Six weeks is still ok. USCIS is a large bureaucratic organization with lots of red tapes and administrative sinkholes. I'd wait for another month or two before making an infopass appointment to inquire about the status.

Received case status update on 9/6 that letter was mailed. Received letter 9/10. Oath ceremony scheduled 9/29 at 1pm in Detroit.
Thank God it is finally over. Started my application May of 2014. Was denied first time because of a voting issue, got an immigration attorney and re applied in May of 2016.
This time it took 4 months from start to finish.
