  • N-400 Question: Your Name Exactly As It Appears on Your Permanent Resident Card?

Hi to all! I am hoping somebody knows the right thing to do here.

I have a question regarding Item Number 2 of form N-400: Your name Exactly As It Appears on Your Permanent Resident Card
Which one, the front or the back side?
As I see in my greencard, the front side (where the picture is) bears my surname(six letters which is complete and correct)
Myy Given Name (I have two names) where in the second name is just the first letter.
However at the back side below the magnetic part, it bears my complete name separated by "<"

    Which should I use then?

Either format is okay for that N-400 question. I prefer as it appears on front of Green Card, but if the full name is on back, using either variation is okay.

Thanks RayB. I just use my name at the back then. I don't want to write "N/A" on the Middle Name.
Do they have to ask for a copy of my Alien (Green) Card during the interview?

I can't recall if the Green Card is relinquished at the interview. It may be at the Oath ceremony.
