I am looking for any advice or anyone who has gone through or is going through something similar...
My husband has had his green card since 2011, this year we filed the N-400 and his naturalization interview was last Thursday.
Everything went well until they asked him if he has ever claimed to be a US citizen. His answer was yes, back in 2006 he applied for a job and checked the US citizen box. He just wanted to be completely honest with them.
When his interview was done, his paper had the "A decision cannot yet be made about your application" box checked. The USCIS officer didn't really give him any answers as to what could happen.
I've spoken to a lawyer and he says that my husband could have his green card revoked and be deported.
We are obviously very worried about what could happen, so I am looking for anyone who has been through this, or knows of someone and could tell me what happened or have any advice.
