  • Conditional green card + Potential divorce

    Hello,

I hope someone can help me with my questions because I am really confused and not sure what to do!

I recently got my conditional green card through my husband sponsorship. Our marriage is not going well and looks like we will get separated if we could not save our marriage.

I am interested in getting the citizenship, living and working in the states.

What are our options if my husband is willing to help (even if we will be separated) and my options if he is not willing to help me with anything?

Thank you so much in advance,

If he is not willing to help, you must divorce and apply for Removal of Conditions on your own based on divorce.

If you remain married but separated and he is willing to file Removal of Conditions jointly, it's still possible to do that but they might ask whether you want to change it to a divorce filing.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
