As the title suggests I'm Filing my N-400 based on a 3 year marriage to an American citizen. I've looked for information, and maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't seem to find any examples of how previous people have assembled their packets.
For example;
1. Do you punch holes at the top of all documentation and bind with an Acco fastener? Do you use clips? another method?
2. If you include extra documentation how do they know what it is? I see in a number of places recommending not to use a cover letter, so how have others done this?
The other part of my question is documentation. From my understanding, in the documentation checklist it says send the following with the application;
1. Photocopy of green card - both sides.
2. 2 passport photographs with alien number and name in pencil on back.
3. Payment.
4. Spouses birth certificate.
5. Current marriage certificate.
6. IRS tax transcripts for the past three years.
I've never been arrested, have no tickets, haven't left the country. No kids, divorces etc. It all just seems a bit light. I understand they already have my file, but some sources say never assume they have all the information they need to make a determination. Other people have gone crazy and included tons of extra evidence of their continuous relationship and others haven't and then have had a denial or delay during the interview process until more evidence is provided.
If there is a resource or an example, if anyone has filed a 3 year marriage N-400 I'd greatly appreciate any help, as I'm going mad looking for information.
