child's citizenship

Hi all,
Me and my wife just had citizenship interview last week, both of us were approved and given letter for oath ceremony which is later this week.
We have 2 children, daughter and a son. Son is US born citizen. My daughter came to USA at the age of 3 and half on h4 visa, subsequently for green card on 2/2011 along with us. She has been staying with us all the time since she came to USA.
How can I make her official citizen of USA. Can I apply for her passport at this time or I will have to apply for her separately for citizenship. Please advise. Thanks

She will automatically become a US citizen the moment either of you naturalize. There is nothing you need to do. After either of your oath ceremonies, as your daughter will already be a US citizen, you will be able to apply for a US passport for her at any time. Either of you's Certificate of Naturalization + her green card + proof that she lives in your legal and physical custody (e.g. your marriage certificate should do) will be her proof of citizenship to apply for her passport.

After you apply for her passport , you should file a N600 for her Certificate of Citizenship so she can have as well, so as not to have to dig up parents' CN in case her passport is lost.

if you're thinking of getting the kid a CoC along with the passport, you should do so quickly cuz the fee is going to nearly double on 12/23.

Thank you Neous for your advice. We applied our daughter's passport and N600 both this Saturday, along with our passport. I hope things will go smoothly.
