My son is born in 1992. Does he need to register for the Selective service before applying for the citizenship.

did he enter US in non-immigrant visa between 18 and 26 years of age ? Then you dont have to register.

If he was born in 1992, then he is currently 24 or 25. Since he is applying for naturalization, he must be a permanent resident. Therefore, he needs to register if he hasn't already.
