N-400 Interview Canceled HELP NEEDED!!!

Hi friends,

I had an interview scheduled for Feb. 6 for N-400 naturalization application. Today I received a call from USCIS that it is canceled and they will contact me later.
Has anyone had such experience? I'm very worried because I'm an Iranian citizen and I think this might be related to the new presidential executive order since my country is withing the 7 banned countries. Does anybody has such experience? Do you have any advice for me?

"At the Citizenship and Immigration Service, staff members were told that the agency should stop work on any application filed by a person from any of the countries listed in the ban. Employees were told that applicants should be interviewed, but that their cases for citizenship, green cards or other immigration documents should be put on pause, pending further guidance."

well i have my interview tomorrow, not sure now if i will have it or not

As per my lawyer :Please also note that USCIS offices often deschedule interviews if they have scheduled too many people for the same day. We have that happen here at the Orlando USCIS office with some regularity.
i will keep you posted and let you know if they allow me to do the interview or not tomorrow.

Anyhow, take it easy, it is matter of time and they will allow us to applu again in case.

wow this is huge and crazy, any and all applications are being halted. I am from pakistan and still waiting for my interview to be n400 scheduled. Can you please provide a timeline on how long it took for you interview to get scheduled after fingerprints.

Does the Executive Order apply to those currently being adjudicated for naturalization?

No. USCIS will continue to adjudicate N-400 applications for naturalization and administer the oath of citizenship consistent with prior practices.
