I am applying based on my 5 years of permanent residency. I got two questions. Question#1. Are 2 passport photos still required or not? Because in the Instructions of N-400 (the latest 12/23/16 version)it says Only applicants who reside overseas must provide 2 identical photos of yourself taken recently. I reside in the United States. So, should I send or not? Question #2. In the N-400 Instructions form, page 10, under Required Evidence, it asks to send the photocopy of current marriage certificate. But form M-477, Document Checklist, States that photocopy of Marriage Certificate is required if you are applying based on marriage to the Unite States Citizen. I am married, but as I stated, I am applying based on permamanent residency. Do I need to send the copy of marriage certificate or not?

The new requirement is that you don't need to submit pp photos. I am going to be sending my application next week and wont be sending photos.
If you became a PR because of marriage to USC then yes send the Marriage Certificate. I became a PR because I married a USC so I am sending a copy of our Marriage Certificate and my husbands BC.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
