  • 2017 N400 interview scheduling experiences- Salt Lake City

    Hi all

I submitted my application 11/11/2016, did biometrics on 12/12/2016 and kept checking online status almost daily until 01/11/2017 with last update being "we scheduled you for a fingerprinting appointment". On 11/19/2017 status was updated to "on January 9th we started the interview scheduling process". Uptil now (2/6/2017) status has not been changed- i wanted to know what everyone elses experience has been. Especially at the Salt Lake City Field Office with scheduling timeline.

    Thanks

I applied almost exactly a month before you (10/9/2016). Also Salt Lake City office.

My online status changed to "Interview Was Scheduled" yesterday. Will likely receive the letter next week. My application was stuck in "interview scheduling process" for just over two months (late November through to February). If yours is the same speed as mine you may hear from them some time in March but obviously waiting times vary from application to application. Try to remain calm if it takes longer than mine, and best of luck.

If you have not received any interview notices in mail call customer service and say that you have to talk to an immigration officer and say you are concerned that notice might have lost in mail , status hasnt changed etc. they will sometimes let the officer call you back . you can talk to the officer and he/she may be able to shed some light. infopass may not be useful. i have tried this option for my ceremony notice and got lucky. hope it helps.
