    Since I am recently married, this seems pretty clear that I'm not eligible for citizenship because of this. Just thought I'd post here before cancelling my appointment to see if there is any further insight.

    Obviously whether you are married right now is completely irrelevant to whether you got citizenship at birth from your parent. Not sure what "child must be unmarried" means, but it probably means at the time of legitimation.
