Newark NJ N400 Interview taking too long

Applied for N400 in last week of October, 2016. Got biometrics done in first week of November, 2016. Website still says: interview for fingerprinting has been sent. No update so far. Any idea why?

I filed in mid Sept, received interview notice last month and had an interview already.
I think you may be receiving yours soon, so don't sweat yet. Yes, the process is longer than initially thought (5 months) and now it takes 7 months or longer, with some being lucky and getting it earlier.
