I need some feedback on my situation.
Center: Newark, NJ
Application Filed: Oct 31, 2016
Biometrics completed: Nov 11, 2016
Interview Notice: April 31, 2017
Interview Date: May 31, 2017
Today I had my interview!!!
Passed the questions but my application was put on hold because I happen to stay more than 6 months once in the last 5 years. This was valid reason to attend my ailing mother-in-law who passed away two years ago. The naturalization official took a copy of my mother-in-law death certificate. He asked if I was working in India during my stay and I said 'NO". I was told that they would notify in mail on my next step / status.
Does any one have experience with a similar situation and what is the expected duration when they would notify again?
