Submit Marriage certificate or not

my wife and I are about to submit our NS-400 application.
both of us have GC ,
both of us only have 1 marriage (to each other)

According to NS-400 instruction , page 10, under required evidence item#3
we need to send marriage certificate. there is no further explanation (who is this for etc)

However...
According to M-477 Document checklist, there is no mention about marriage certificate

which one is correct? should we submit the certificate or not?

You have nothing to lost by sending the marriage certificate.
It is better to include it.
