  • Applied for naturalization (paper) a year ago. PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone, Applied for naturalization (paper) a year ago. (June 1st) I got a confirmation and did my fingerprints on June 23th 2016 at the M***akee Office. (I belive my field office is the St.Paul one) And online it says that they are processing applications from June 10th 2016.. I've been a permanent resident for almost 10 years now. I waited until January and called them to check the status. Online it says "processing" they told me to call in 3 months which I did and then told me to call again in 3 weeks if I didnt hear back from them and I did not so I called again and they told me to call again if I dont hear back from them. What is going on? I am really frustrated and I really feel like this is never going to end. Please help me. I feel very desperate and I do not know what to do anymore.

Millwaukee is its own field office, they don't have to delegate naturalization applications to the Twin Cities or Chi-town

The M***aukee field office is staffed by agents who hate immigrants

    Best of luck

Thanks this has been a nightmare so far. That is strange since my mother got her fingerprints done in M***aukee but they sent her to the St. Paul office for the naturalization test.

I have a clean record. 710 credit score. I run a non-profit organisation that helps the less fortunate and I've been an AmeriCorp member for 3 years with honors. I know of people that applied in January 2017 at other offices and they are citizens now. Why do I have to wait over a year and not even get a notice from them after contacting 3 different immigration officers?

I would make an infopass to speak to an officer face to face.

I seeing a pattern here, residents who stayed here for a long time and we are applying for citizenship they are making us wait longer than others, I just saw a post from a man who is living here 9 years no criminal record not even traffic tickets, same here 7 years liviing here I applied on January and after fingerprints appointment no notice. I wanted to take my kids to a vacation but we decided to stay for the application in case that they call us. I called today and they told me that they still processing applications from August 2016 but as you said I'm seeing other people receiving their naturalizations certificates after 3 months after application was sent. Please let us know any advance I'm so overwhelmed at this. I mean what do they want we are decent people!
