Biometrics Code 5?

Hey guys,

I just received my biometrics appointment letter and it says code 5.

I thought there were only code 1, 2, 3.

For my green card biometrics, I had code 3.

What is code 5?

I have the bio appointment tomorrow, I also have the same question regarding code 5 that I noticed on my notification. I could not find anything on the web except for code 1, 2, 3. I'll reply after my appointment and see if it was anything different from my green card biometrics.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Same procedures when I did my biometrics for my recidency. Signature, pictures, fingerprints, that's it. I noticed the paper that you supposed to give to your Bio technician has the type of codes on the bottom (not your notice). There were about five or six of them, Code 1,2,3, I-90, and the last 2 I don't remember. Mine was Code 3 though. There is nothing after the number 3.

So don't be alarm, go with confidence.

Same as with code 3: picture, signature, fingerprints. Nothing else.

i got another biometrics with code 5 i already done one 8 month ago with code 3 ..

Hi, I had code 5 on my biometrics appointment today as well. I was asked for 4 digits of my right hand only (no thumbs) picture and signature. I was concerned that other people get all ten digits scanned....

can anyone with code 5 confirm the number and type of digits scanned during their appointment.

Hi,
Today we had our biometric with code 5 and yes, the difference is this time they scanned only 4 right-hand fingers.
I asked about code 5 and the answer was "this is the new requirement of USCIS and has started since the last couple of months"

Hello,

I received the 2nd appointment for fingerprinting. 2nd invitation is scheduled for mid September.

I had my 1st fingerprinted completed 2nd week of June successfully.

I’m concerned why I received my 2nd appointment for fingerprinting. Could you please help me to clarify my doubt and concern, whether this would have any delay / impact on I-485 process.

2nd Invitation is having the Code: 5, what’s the significance of this code.

Im adjusting from a K1. Filled late december 2016 had my bio jan 20th.
Today i received a notice of another biometrics set for next month.

Code 5 and my experience....
Friends, my family and I have Biometrics on Jan 22, 2021. My family members (dependents) ad code 3 in the ASC letter and were 10 finger printed.
However, me being Primary Applicant had code 5, and I was asked to give my Right Hand, 2 finger prints only (Index finger and Middle finger)

My son (15 years old) had a biometrics appointment (Code 3) just 1 month ago. We went and they took Fingerprints of both hands, photo and signature. We are a family of five and only my son got the appointment.

Now we had a new Form I-797C in the mail, just 1 month later, again only for my son, this time with Code 5 on it. That doesn't make any sense...
