  • Connecticut I had my interview for naturalization!!!,,

    USCIS received my application..November 25th, 2016

    Biometrics... December 23rd, 2016

Notification that an interview was scheduled...June 12th, 2017 (One week later I've received the letter with the date of the interview)

    Successful interview...July 18th, 2017

Naturalization Oath Ceremony July 26th, 2017 in Bridgeport.

Advice:Be much earlier than 30 minutes. The security check point takes time.

The test and interview??? Easy. Fast. A few questions and that's it. The officer will review very quickly the answers that you provided when you sent the application .

Any question, feel free to ask. I hope I have the answer.

    questions in interview

Hi , You seem to be lucky. My wife was interviewed yesterday and it was a long, tedious and extensive one. Personal questions were asked and even certain family traits were discussed. Are such questions a norm? I am waiting for my interview date as my biometric was completed on 02/21/2017.

    Many thanks

Let me tell you...my officer was not nice at all. Everything in a hurry. He asked quick questions about certain things, looking for quick answers. I brought all the papers (Taxes, certificates, etc) and he didn't ask me for one. Bottom line: I don't care. I have my citizenship.
If nothing change, you should receive a notification that an interview was scheduled by mid August, and your interview by September. First they tell you that they have the date, then a week later, they tell you when.

      Wish you success !!!

Did you go to your interview alone or with a lawyer? It seems like if no lawyer is present, the officers are not so nice.

Everything by myself. I prepared my papers. I went alone.
Advice: Focus on what you want: Your citizenship. Study the questions and answers. Be prepared to read and write a very simple phrase and also to talk about what you wrote in your application. The rest, let them be what they want. They know that if you answer the correct, nobody can't say NO

          Success!!!!
