Good afternoon all. Just wanted to share a little bit of experience and hope it can help to ease a few minds on some things. I applied June of 2016, biometrics in July and interview in March. I had to send in a RFE, but my interviewer was 99% sure that I would be approved but needed a little eveidence from a DUI I got 30 years ago. I got my letter to send in evidence, overnighted it and still have not heard anything on my interview. After 120 days I called USCIS, they did an inquiry on the case, they proceeded to send me the same letter I had already received about the evidence, so I decided to make an infopass appointment. My appointment was made for the new district office in Montgomery, Al. I called USCIS and asked them if this is where I needed to go since my interview was in Atlanta, they told me yes and at the time I go they would be able to answer questions about my status. Fast forward to today, I go to my appointment, and they proceed to tell me they are in the process of getting all the Alabama files transferred over to this office from Atlanta, so just to be patient a while longer. So for any of you that live in Alabama but did your interview in Atlanta and are waiting, be patient, they have not gotten the files transferred over to the office yet. She did say to check back in 30 days if I had not heard anything. Luckily I had copies of my evidence I sent and she took it and said she would make sure it got in my file just in case it got lost at the Atlanta office from the move. Oh and also Alabama only does oath ceremonies every 3 months.

It took me seven months. Check the processing times, the normally update around the 15th of the month. Right now Atlanta is still processing August. I would wait until you see December's processing time and if you don't hear anything 30 days after then call. That's what they will tell you on the phone. Then you can make an infopass. It's taking Atlanta about 7-9 months to complete, my situation is different due to the opening of the new office.
