  • Under 4 years 1 day rule for Naturalization

I was out of the country for more than one year to study abroad. I know I need to follow the 4 years and 1 day rule in order to apply for the naturalization.
My question is during these 4 years and 1 day how long can I stay outside of the country without breaking the continuous rule? Is it still less than 6 months? If so, is it less than 6 month at once or in total ( during 4 years 1 day) ?

    6 months at once

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
