  • Take long time for N-400.

    N-400 Timeline San Antonio Office
    09/21/2015 - Application received for I and wife
    10/01/2015 - Rec Biometrics Appt Letter for I and wife
    10/18/2015 - Biometrics Appt same.
    12/23/2015 - Wife interview
    02/06/2016 - Wife Oath ceremony.
    07/25/2016 - Rec Interview Letter Appt
    07/30/2016 - Moved to Dallas
    08/29/2016 - Interview Appt.
    08/19/2016 - interview canceled
    09/21/2016 - Address changed.

    After that one Infopass in Oct 2017 and other one Jen 2018 says the case still pending because the security background check still not completed yet.

    Please any one can advice for this case. (have no issues, not left the US borders).

    When you file a n-400, they run several background checks including one with the FBI, and if you get a "hit" maybe because your name is common or something like that, that process to clearance your name is like 1 year. I recommend you to contact your congressman to make a little pressure on them.

      I did visit my congressman office and met one of the assistances, and I explained all the facts. She said that our offices can't do more than do infopass.
      The funny thing is really they don't care. They're never call back or say something.

        yes they dont help a lot dealing with case progress, try to make a case here.

        When and how to submit a case assistance request and the types of cases the CIS Ombudsman's Office can help with.


        They will be more helpful.
