I got my green card on Feb,22nd,2013 and left for India on March,6th,2013 and returned back to USA on May2014.
so my absence is like 11 month 21 days. Since than I am staying here, doing job .filing taxes jointly with my wife.
My family stayed here, they rented a house and filed tax returns, but because for the year 2013 my wife filed her tax return as a single not jointly as did not worked for a single day in 2013 here.
I have two questions.
1.Am I eligible to file N400 for citizenship now?
2.I did not filed tax return for the year 2013 ( because I stayed in USA for 15 days and in that year and did not work).I only filed tax returns for the year 2014,2015,2016 and 2017. Am I ok with that or I need to file taxes for 5 years before applying for citizenship.
