  • Lost Passport and Permanent Resident Card

My girlfriend lost her passport and permanent resident card (expired). She's been a permanent resident since 2007. Is it possible for her to apply for naturalization without the passport and permanent resident card? If not, what can we do to make it happen?

any reasons why she cannot apply for a replacement passport?

What is her proof of identity then? as well as her status in the USA?

She doesn't need a passport to naturalize. She should apply for a replacement for her green card with I-90. And with the I-90 receipt, she can apply for naturalization.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
