  • Memphis field office is taking to looongggg!!!

    Hi everyone!
I sent my application for adjustment of status on July 2016, waited and waited until July 2017 and no updates. Finally went for info pass apt where the IO told me to go ahead and apply for citizenship by the 3 year rule. I did so, while my I-751 was and is till pending now.
    I sent my N-400application on August 2017
    FP done on Sep 2017
On Sep 18th 2017 the status changed to : Case in line for an interview.
So far no new updates. I have never traveled out of USA since I moved, payed taxes and obeying the law. Any August fillers that have received the interview notice?
This process is taking way to long, more than I imagined!! If anyone who is going through the same wait or any august fillers that have received an update recently, would post their timeline, it would really help. I haven't seen my family in 4 years and I am trying to plan a trip by September but at this point I am afraid to plan anything!
    God Bless!!!

are you a permanent resident with a valid GC?
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

          Hey, thanks for the replay!
My GC expired on September 2016( hence I applied to remove condition). They gave me an extension letter, then a stamp on the passport through infopass.
Just received a letter today saying my i7551 has been transferred to another field office(MO). USCIS just announced they are opening a new office in Nashville and our naturalization cases are supposed to be handled here! I was told by USCIS that both 1751 and N400 would be processed at the same time for me. I am very confused, I plan on calling them on Monday!

Bummer!!! This process is taking too long!! I am really hoping to get my passport by September in order for me to apply for residency. Most of hospitals wont offer me a job without citizenship!!
Congrats for your interview and thanks for your replay!!
