GOT APPROVED AND SWORN IN on THE SAME DAY.

It was an amazing ceremony and I will never EVER forget it. Wish my dad was there to see it.
I called him the next day he was INCREDIBLY proud of me and cried.

    Thank you all again.
    Ducati,

Congratulations!!! I was so happy to hear that you had passed the citizenship exam.
As an instructor, I want to learn from your experience.
Will you please describe your concerns regarding the interview, what were some difficult/easy questions, the tone of the interview, and how long it took to take the entire interview? Did you have a lawyer present during the interview? Did he/she help you answer the officer's questions? What was asked? Was the lawyer worth the money and time with respect to how much it helped to have him/her there? I recall that your concern was voter registration that was an error with the DMV.

Congratulations again, and Thank you for sharing. I am sure your father was so proud of you. I am so happy he was here to witness your achievement.
Best of luck to you and your family.

      SUZIQ,

Will you please describe your concerns regarding the interview, what were some difficult/easy questions?
If you are referring to the CIVICS test in regards to questions, I studied every night and was scoring 100% on all 100 questions. So, they were easy to me.

The tone of the interview, and how long it took to take the entire interview?
The tone was Great. The IO was an amazingly nice lady, and we discussed some history before we began. The entire interview was about 30 minutes only because My Attorney was also chatting it up with the IO.

Did you have a lawyer present during the interview?
      Yes, my attorney was present.

Did he/she help you answer the officer's questions?
He did not answer any questions on my behalf. When the question came up, I explained and IO appreciate my honesty. My attorney provided all the supporting documents as I explained.

      What was asked?
IO confirmed my name, address, work place, My marital status and how many children I have. Then jumped right into Part 12 questions.

Was the lawyer worth the money and time with respect to how much it helped to have him/her there?
The money to me was well worth it, as it meant a lot to me have someone there so I didnt make any further mistakes. IT did help in my opinion. But every case is different.

I recall that your concern was voter registration that was an error with the DMV.
The registration card was signed. On the registration application there was no where oneself could claim US CITIZEN. On a fine print saying I affirm that I AM A US CITIZEN. This form unfortunately was signed by me.
At the time I signed I had My wife and kids with me at the DMV, MY wife was still healing from giving birth to my son. I was EXTREMELY tired from moving all our belongs to our new home and ofcourse sleepless nights due to a 2 newborn. He was only 2 months old and my daughter 3 yo at that time . We were at the DMV for over 2 hours and kids were fussy especially my 2 month old son. So My wife and I signed all the forms quickly and returned to them to the clerk. So we could get home and get the kids settled. I also found out I was signed up as an ORGAN DONOR. SMH

The only THINK I CAN say to help someone else with this situation, is to READ ALL DMV FORMS CAREFULLY AND THOROUGHLY before you sign, obviously they will only see this after they have made the mistake but ya never know. That was my mistake.
I relied on the DMV clerk that he was giving me all necessary forms related to transfer our licenses even Though I presented the Foreign Passport and my Permanent Resident card.

I cant understand why there is such a disconnect in communication between the DMV and board of elections.
MY voter registration or any NON-CITIZENS voter registration should NEVER be processed even though it was signed.
There has to be some sort of FAIL SAFE in that system otherwise it will keep causing good people like myself from making a mistake such as mine and be setup for failure.

My Oath Ceremony was incredible and I cried through most of it from how PROUD I WAS to have finally become a US CITIZEN.
I WILL NEVER EVER EVER, forget that day. IT was TRULY one of the most SPECIAL DAYS of my life.

Thank you all for all your info and suggestions. If you want to private message me for anything Please feel free.
GOD BLESS you all and GOD BLESS this amazing country.

You seem to be among the few people who unknowingly have an issue with this since you inadvertently registered to vote because the only way you can register to vote is to claim to be a US Citizen. So I would suggest you talk to a qualified Attorney regarding this and take there advise.

It might be a problem , depending on your interviewer. Take all the proof that you did not intend to vote to the interview. If you can, get the DMV to sign a paper saying that it’s their mistake.. idk if that’s possible but it would be good to try.

it might not be a problem at all... but I’d be safe and get all possible proofs.

DONT DRAG THE INTERVIEWER ATTENTION TO THIS ISSUE.
