Passport after ceremony

Hi, I applied for my passport at the passport agency in Seattle. I handed in my natz cert as proof of my citizenship. I was told I can pick up my passport there in three days. They didn't hand me back my natz cert though. Will I pick up my natz cert when I pick up my passport at the agency? Or they simply forgot?

Note: I am talking about a passport agency, which is for expedite passport processing and operates differently from passport acceptance facilities. I am aware that passport acceptance facilities will mail you back your certificate along with your passport.

You should get it back. It is no longer illegal to make copies of it. So tell them you would like it back. In fact, you should call so they have it ready to go, and not stashed in some room or elsewhere.

I don't think I got mine back when I applied for my first passport. However, you were required to turn in the original. This was years ago.
