  • Canadian citizen, with us green card : Citizenship question

I am a Canadian Citizen that moved to the US on a family based green card. We Live in Dallas TX/

    A couple of Questions:

    1. Can anyone please tell me what the PROCESSING TIME for citizenship (N 400) is - If I file in DALLAS TX.

2 Does the processing time differ because I have a CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I plugged your information into their website here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ to find the processing times for the N400 filing from Dallas, TX and it says 16.5 months to 18.5 months. And no it doesn't make it go any faster because you're Canadian.

There are no freebies for anyone. That being said, if you are a Canadian born citizen and have only lived in Canada besides living in the US or have not traveled extensively, that may make your case more straightforward than others, and it may move faster. Same if you are a naturalized Canadian citizen and not originally from a country affected by the US travel ban, then sure, your case may move faster.
