Taking 2 year old to the Oath Ceremony

Hi, me and my wife have the oath ceremony at the same time and we do not have alternate arrangements to take care of our 2 year old. Is it ok to take him with us to the oath ceremony. We have our oath taking at the Campbell Heritage Theater, Campbell, Ca.

someone will need to hold your child for you while you walk and get your certificate. Since it?s the same time as your wife, I don?t think your wife will be able to hold your baby so you need to find someone.

I have read of people in the audience with kids who have been asked to leave because the child won't stop crying, etc. You don't want that. It's a special moment for a lot of people.

I just had my oath last Thursday and there’s a lot of family with kids, there’s even babies in strollers. One man holds his son when he got the certificate and the oath officer welcomed him with smile joking that she only had one certificate ... as long as the child behaves I think its ok.it is also a family affair .

There is no argument. You are always going to get a hung jury on these questions. Like you said, if the kid behaves, it should be fine. Otherwise, be prepared to be asked to leave until the child calms down. It's happened. Every oath ceremony is different. If people are bothered by the screaming child, people will complain and have the person + child escorted out. It's fair.

Contrary to popular belief, bringing children into the world is not carte blanche to disturb others;unless you're in an airplane where there's not much you can do if you get stuck next to a screaming child.

A lot of people waited for their ceremony and would like to enjoy it. One of the most valuable lessons my father ever taught me is that my right to anything ends where someone else's rights to that same thing start.
