  • Passed citizenship interview but got form N652

Hello I'm new to the forum I just wanted to ask for advice or opinions regarding my case.I had my interview on 01/16/19 in Fresno ca, I took the test passed everything IO officer asked question about family and all the stuff and just when I thought we were finished she started asking about when did I enter the US for the first time, and how, also how many times I left after the first entry which was one to go to my appointment in Ciudad Juarez, she ask me the year I left which i wasn't sure if it was at the end of 09 or 010, she asked me when did I get back I told her month and year, and this is where it got weird she asked where did I cross wich I answer mexicali, calexico and then she asked what else happen I told her I just took my sealed packed to the entry point to get it stamped I replied but it seems to me that she saw something in the computer cause she insisted she made some notes then told me she needed a witness so she asked me to follow her to another office to sign a form in front of a different officer which the the witness officer also sign, I was a little nervous and didn't check the form that I sign I didn't get a copy she took a copy of my green card passport and gave me form N652 and told me she had everything she needed for me to wait for a letter in the mail, I left confused, disappointed and also concerned because I thought I was gonna get my approval that day has this happen to anyone alse? any thoughts or opinions are welcome thank you.

I: you passed the English and US history&gov test.
II: USCIS will send you a written decision about your application.
III: A decision cannot be made yet about your application.
      Thanks for replying.

        No worries

I don?t think you should worry about it. My husband didn?t get approve on the interview but around couple weeks after he received an update that he?s in line for an Oath ceremony. Keep your head up and good luck!

My husband had his interview and got the same paper and they told him he passed but needed to do further investigation. And after 4 months they sent us a Denial letter because unfortunately he didn?t file a ?Wavier of Forgiveness? when we applied for him to come back to US because he was deported.

I'm sorry about your husband, I hope he don't have any issues in the future regarding his permanent residence, it just doesn't make any sense that he was approved for green card if he needed waiver of forgiveness, In my case I did file for a waiver and it took a year to get my waiver approved, I didn't get deported but had to file waiver for being in the US illegally for more than a year, I just hope I don't have any problems I did everything legal, But you just never know in this days now, when the officer asked me about the year and month I came back and I answer she then asked me what else happen before that? I told her nothing and she said are you sure nothing else happen? I said no I took my sealed packet and gave it to the immigration officer to open it, but I guess she saw something but she didn't tell me what it was, I just hope they didn't make a mistake and I'll end up paying the consequences, has your husband seen an immigration lawyer regarding his denial? Thanks for replying.

Today I had an interview for naturalization. I passed civic and english test. But at the end IO gave me n-652 which "USCIS will send written decision about your application" + A decision cannot be made yet about your application. And she said it will take 4-8 weeks.During the interview she was conserned about my drivers license that I didnt update my physical address. Plus I was not able to exact date of filing my last tax (I gave aprox date) and she asked when was the last time I left the cuntry (I gave aprox date) Do I really need to worry? What did I do wrong? or should I just sit tight and now to worry at all
