  • Tax Documents to Bring to the Interview (2/5/19)

    Greetings,

I've been trying to prepare some tax documents for my N-400 interview, but facing some tricky situation.

It seems like there are 2 ways of getting tax return transcripts, but here are my problem:
    * I made an IRS account a while ago, but wasn't able to log in to get my transcripts because apparently my personal account number doesn't match (last 8 digit of credit card, this is for identity verification). Pretty much tired with all the credit cards I have, but didn't work.
    * Tried to request transcripts via mail in the beginning of January. Because of the government (and IRS) was shut down, I doubt they processed my request until 1/25/19. IRS says it takes about 5-10 days to process the request, so probably won't arrive by the date of my scheduled interview (2/5/19).

    My question is:
    * Can I bring my W-2 forms instead of tax return transcripts?

    Any advise would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

I believe if you use 1040 you will need your W2s as well

Thanks! I will do so -- after all that's the only thing I can do for now haha.
